My fiancé and I adopted our
puppy Busta from Mr. & Mrs. Boylan on 10/6/06, given the distance between Iowa &
New York we thought for sure it would be weeks before we had our furbaby, much
to our surprise & delight we had him in our arms two days later! We could not
have been more ecstatic when he licked our nose through the door of his crate, I
was smitten from that second on!! Busta’s personality was exactly as described
on the Boylan’s website, along with many other wonderful traits (too many for
this gloating mother to mention) they even chose the perfect name for him
“Buster” we just added a lil NY flavor to get “Busta”.
I knew the Boylans were the “chosen” breeder for us from the first telephone
conversation, in which they took an hour (literally) out of their day to not
only educate me on the breed but also warning signs to look out for in other
breeders (not sure how it works in Iowa but NY’ers won’t give you a minute of
their time before they have your $ in their hand). They not only answered every
question I had but had a few for me of their own to make sure that I was worthy
of one of their pups because they actually care about what they do. This does
not end when you get the puppy they called us the day of Busta’s arrival as well
as the next to make sure he was ok and to see if we had any other questions for
them.
The whole process from introductions right up until today has been, in a word,
refreshing. It is good to know that in a sea of puppies for profit there are
still people like the Boylan’s who are doing it for all the right reasons!
